Our grand temples decay. We abandoned long ago. No longer required for worship, we turned our zealousness inward. Grasped for the apex of evolution. But we forgot our connection to outer awareness in the process. We have claimed our future within these body cages we so exultantly proclaimed as our liberators. We in fact, have become the jailers of our souls. Our judgment upon ourselves passed against us long ago.
The stars no longer offer us solace. Their dimmed bulbs remind us of our faded fortunes. Specks of dying fireflies on a black painted wall.
Our Halls of Heroes shuttered forever. No one remembers their names or faces. What would they say if presented before us in the hear and now? Would they mock us then condemn our betrayal to the past sufferings they endured to lift us into omniscient magnanimity?
